横関酒造｜埼玉県の酒蔵・SAKE　代表銘柄「天仁」

埼玉県にある横関酒造(よこぜきしゅぞう)さんに行ってきたので、横関酒造さんのSAKE情報をまとめます。

I visited Yokozeki Shuzo in Saitama Prefecture, so I will summarize the SAKE information of Yokozeki Shuzo.

横関酒造のSAKE

昔ながらの店構え。そんな第一印象でした。

An old-fashioned storefront. Such was my first impression.

店内にあるのは、豊富な日本酒と自家製の奈良漬け。

奈良漬けは、うり、生姜、なす、きゅうりの単品や詰め合わせセットも販売していました。奈良漬けにこだわっていて、売り上げの約半分以上を占めているそうです。

Inside the store is a wide selection of sake and homemade Narazuke.

Narazuke were sold individually or in assorted sets of cucumber, ginger, eggplant, and cucumber.They are particular about Nara pickles, which account for more than half of their sales.

日本酒の約半数が生酒なため、基本的に冷やして飲むと良いみたいですね。炭酸シュワシュワの「にごり酒」は暑い夏の日にも美味しそうです。

Since about half of all sake is raw, it seems that it is basically best to drink it chilled. The carbonated shuwagori (nigori) sake looks delicious on a hot summer day.

販売されている日本酒は数種類。上の画像の日本酒以外にあと数種類あります。

銘柄はすべて「天仁(てんじん)」で、アルコール度数や味の異なる「原酒」「大吟醸」「にごり酒」など、それぞれ販売されています。

「原酒」は加水しておらず、とてもアルコール度数の高い日本酒。実際に購入して飲んでみたら、たしかにアルコール度数が高く、パンチの効いた日本酒でした。ホームページでおすすめされているようにロックで飲むと良いみたいですね。

There are several types of sake on sale. In addition to the sake in the image above, there are several more varieties.

The brands are all Tenjin, and they are sold in different alcohol levels and flavors, including “Harazake,” “Daiginjo,” and “Nigori (nigori)” sake.

The “Harazake” is not watered down and has a very high alcohol content. When I actually bought and drank it, it was indeed a very high alcohol sake with a punchy taste. It is recommended to drink it on the rocks as recommended on the website.

埼玉県でいちばん小さな地酒酒蔵。何でも“一番”はいいですよね。日本酒の味はもちろん、宣伝も上手です。The smallest sake brewery in Saitama Prefecture. The “best” in anything is good, isn’t it? Not only is the sake tasty, but they also advertise it well.

どこにある？　Where is it?

横関酒造は、東京都の北側に位置する埼玉県にあります。

東京都の隣ですね。

最寄り駅：松久駅　nearest station：Matsuhisa station

最寄り駅は、JR八高線の「松久駅(まつひさ)」。

ちなみに、隣の「用土駅(ようど)」からも同じぐらいの距離です。

The nearest station is Matsuhisa Station on Hachiko Line.

Incidentally, it is about the same distance from the neighboring “Yodo” station.

松久駅から歩いて行くと途中の田園風景を楽しめます。用土駅から歩いて行くと主に大通り沿いを歩くことになります。

横関酒造から120mほど離れたところにコンビニもありました。

If you walk from Matsuhisa Station, you can enjoy the countryside scenery along the way. If you walk from Yodo Station, you will mainly walk along the main street.

There was also a convenience store 120 meters away from the Yokozeki Brewery.

横関酒造(「天仁」)と同じJR八高線沿いの酒蔵がいくつかあるので、寄り道してもいいかもしれません。

There are several sake breweries along the same JR Hachiko line as Yokozeki Shuzo (“Tenjin”), so you may want to stop by.

【行き方】最寄り駅まで　Route How to get to the nearest station

交通手段(電車)　Transportation(Train)

最寄り駅は松久駅(まつひさ)。JR八高線沿いの駅です。

JR八高線は、東京都の八王子駅と群馬県の高崎駅を結ぶ南北に走っている路線。

ここでは、電車での行き方、また、東京都内の各駅から松久駅へどのように行けばいいのかを解説します。

上のイメージ図を見てみてください。

「成田国際空港駅」「羽田空港駅」から行く人は、日暮里駅・池袋駅経由で東武東上線の寄居駅または小川町駅まで行きます。その後、JR八高線に乗り換えれば「松久駅」まですぐです。

「東京駅」「新宿駅」から行く人も日暮里駅・池袋駅経由で東武東上線の寄居駅または小川町駅まで行くルートですね。

「立川駅」から行く人は、JR青梅線の拝島駅(はいじま)経由。

「八王子駅」から行く人は、そのまま八高線の電車に乗ればOKです。

JR八高線は約30分に1本の電車。また、1駅と1駅の距離が長いです。時間に余裕をもって、トイレは済ましておきましょう。

For those going from Narita International Airport Station or Haneda Airport Station, take the Tobu Tojo Line via Nippori Station or Ikebukuro Station to Yorii Station or Ogawamachi Station. After that, transfer to the JR Hachiko Line for a short ride to Matsuhisa Station.

Those coming from “Tokyo Station” or “Shinjuku Station” can also take the Tobu Tojo Line via Nippori Station or Ikebukuro Station to Yorii Station or Ogawamachi Station.

Those going from “Tachikawa Station” go via Haijima Station (Haijima) on the JR Oume Line.

Those who go from “Hachioji Station” can take the Hachiko Line train directly.

The JR Hachiko Line has one train approximately every 30 minutes. Also, the distance between one station and the next is long. Please allow plenty of time, and make sure to use the restroom.

成田国際空港からだと約3時間40分。特急も利用すると約3時間15分。※京成成田空港線スカイライナーを利用

東京駅からは約2時間20分。

新宿駅からは約2時間10分。

立川駅・八王子駅からは約1時間50分。

有料の特急を利用できるのは、成田国際空港が出発駅の時だけですね。

新宿駅より西側に位置する駅が出発駅の場合、池袋駅経由で東武東上線に乗ることになります。

立川駅、八王子駅方面の駅が出発駅の場合、拝島駅経由でそのままJR八高線に乗ることになります。

It takes about 3 hours and 40 minutes from Narita International Airport. It takes about 3 hours and 15 minutes from Narita International Airport by limited express train. Use the Keisei Narita Airport Line Skyliner.

From Tokyo Station, it takes about 2 hours and 20 minutes.

About 2 hours and 10 minutes from Shinjuku Station.

Approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes from Tachikawa and Hachioji Stations.

You can use the paid express only when Narita International Airport is your departure station.

If your departure station is located west of Shinjuku Station, you will take the Tobu Tojo Line via Ikebukuro Station.

If your departure station is in the direction of Tachikawa or Hachioji Station, you will take the JR Hachiko Line via Haijima Station.

電車賃　How much is the train fare?

成田国際空港からだと約2,500円。特急も利用すると約4,000円。※京成成田空港線スカイライナーを利用。

東京駅・新宿駅・立川駅・八王子駅からは約1,500円。

From Narita International Airport, it costs about 2,500 yen. If you also use the limited express, the fare is about 4,000 yen. *Take the Keisei Narita Airport Line Skyliner.

From Tokyo Station, Shinjuku Station, Tachikawa Station, and Hachioji Station, the fare is approx.1,000 yen

所要時間は、出発時間帯、曜日によって多少変わります。また、他のルートもあるので、乗換案内アプリ等で最適ルートを検索してみてください。

Travel time varies slightly depending on the time of day and day of the week of departure. There are also other routes available, so please search for the best route using a transfer guide application or other means.

電車賃は、1ドル＝100円で計算しています。Train fares are calculated at $1 = 100 yen.

【行き方】最寄り駅～横関酒造まで　Route nearest station to Yokozeki Shuzo

交通手段(徒歩)　Transportation(foot)

電車で来た場合、交通手段は徒歩またはタクシーです。

If coming by train, transportation is by foot or cab.

私の場合は、改札を出て、住宅街→田舎道→大通り→横関酒造の順で歩いて行って辿り着きました。

In my case, I got there by exiting the ticket gate and walking in the following order: residential area, country road, main street, and Yokozeki Brewery.

所要時間　How long does it take？

徒歩で約25分。タクシーで約5分。

駅を降りて改札を出てすぐにタクシーはいませんでした。タクシーは呼ばないといけません。なので、散歩だと思って歩いていくことを個人的にはおすすめしますね。

Approximately 25 minutes on foot. Approximately 5 minutes by cab.

There were no cabs available as soon as we got off the station and exited the ticket gates. You have to call a cab. So I would personally recommend that you think of it as a walk and go on foot.

交通費　How much can you get there?

タクシー代、約1,000円。ちなみに距離は約2.2km。

Cab fare, about 1,000 yen. Incidentally, the distance is about 2.2 km.

試飲：なし　Can I have a tasting?

試飲サービスはありませんでした。

試飲はないですが、日本酒の購入時に店主さんから紙コップを頂きました。というのも、店主さんは、気が向いたときはJR八高線の電車内で紙コップ片手に日本酒を飲んでいるそうなんです。どうしても真似してみたくて（笑）、帰りのホームで紙コップに注ぎ、電車内でひっそり一口だけ楽しみました。

店主さんが電車内で飲むのは、おそらく平日ガラガラの時間帯だと思います。土日祝日など人混みの多い日は特に、くれぐれもまわりの人の迷惑にならないよう注意しないといけないですね。

There was no tasting service.

There was no tasting service, but the owner gave us a paper cup when we purchased sake. The owner told me that when he feels like it, he drinks sake on the JR Hachiko Line train with a paper cup in his hand. I really wanted to imitate him (laugh), so I poured some into a paper cup on the platform on my way home and quietly enjoyed a sip on the train.

I think the owner probably drinks it on the train during weekdays when it’s deserted. Especially on crowded days such as weekends and holidays, you must be careful not to disturb others.

食事処：なし　Is there a restaurant?

食事処はありませんでした。

There was no restaurant.

酒蔵見学：有　Can I take a brewery tour?

酒蔵見学はおこなっているようです。

ただ、ホームページを見る限りは大々的に宣伝していないです。おそらく、主に地元の小学生向けに見学させてそうですね。とはいっても大人も見学させてもらえると思うので、問い合わせみるといいと思います。

It seems that they offer tours of the brewery.

However, as far as I can tell from their website, they do not advertise it extensively. It seems that they mainly offer tours for local elementary school students. That said, adults are also allowed to tour the brewery, so it would be a good idea to inquire about it.

駐車場は約15台？のスペースが店舗前にありました。

広々とした駐車場になっているので、大型バスでも駐車できそうでした。

The parking lot had approximately 15? spaces in front of the store.

The parking lot is spacious, so even large buses could park there.

トイレ：なし　Restroom: No

まわりをパッと見渡した限りトイレはありませんでした。店舗の隣に店主さんの家？がありました。なので、どうしてもな時は店主さんに相談すればもしかしたら貸してくれるかもしれません。

歩いて1分ほどの所にコンビニがあったので、そちらでお借りしてもいいですね。

There were no restrooms as far as a quick look around. The owner’s house was next to the store? There was a shop next to the owner’s house. So, if you are in desperate need of a restroom, you may be able to borrow one if you consult with the owner.

There was a convenience store about a minute’s walk away, so you can borrow the toilet there.

店主さんの息子さんが現在は別の酒蔵で働いていて、将来は後を継ぐそうです。

美味しい日本酒、日本の文化を継承してくれる存在がいて良かったです！楽しみですね。

The owner’s son is currently working at another sake brewery and will take over in the future.

I am glad that there is someone who will carry on the good sake and Japanese culture! I am looking forward to it.
